It's a pretty new place. The staff is wonderful. We had the brisket, beef ribs, Mac and cheese and red beans with brisket. Everything tasted amazing. The rib meat fell off the bone when I tugged it. Even the moist brisket had excellent marbling, not big chunks of fat.

Stop it y'all! I'm not exaggerating when I write that Steadfast is a Top TX 50 BBQ joint. Every bite of the brisket, pork ribs & turkey was tender and packed with flavor. They also have excellent, homemade sides including the BEST pickles I've ever had.

The brisket is really amazing also we ordered the sausage with cream cheese and that was amazing too. The service is really good also. Staff are very friendly. The place feels like country side. We highly recommend Steadfast barbecue we will keep on going back at this place.

Excellent food all the way around. The brisket, turkey, beef ribs, and pulled pork were all excellent. The sides including the street corn and pickles were also delicious! 100% will make the journey back to Bastrop to enjoy their barbecue again.
